Donna graduated Valedictorian of her high school class at La Sierra Academy in Southern California, where she was an All-State CIF Volleyball and Basketball player. Donna received B.S. degrees in Business Administration and Health Fitness Management from Columbia Union College, where she attended on a softball pitching scholarship.

Image With a foundation in health and wellness, it's no surprise that Donna established herself as one of the most dominant players in women’s professional football. Known as “The Animal,” Donna has played with the D.C. Divas since their inaugural season in 2001.  Over her storied career, Donna has played Defensive End, Fullback, Running Back, Linebacker, Tight End and Wide Receiver.

Donna was a 2003 All-Star Running Back and a Divas Team Captain.  Donna is the 1st woman in NWFA history to rush for over 1000 yards in a season, and led the league in rushing in 2003 with 1,267 yards in 10 games and was the Divas offensive MVP.  That year she became the 1st female in history to win the Washington Pig Skin Club “John W. Posey” award for professional athlete of the year, also awarded to Jeremiah Trotter, Lavernues Coles, Todd Heap and Ed Reed, of the Redskins and Ravens.

Donna played in the 2004 Junkies “Turkey Bowl” where the Sports Junkies (currently of 106.7 WJFK-FM) battled it out with the Divas in a (man vs. woman) tackle football showdown for charity, at the Sports & Learning Complex in Landover, Maryland. Over 8,500 people helped sell out the game and fans wrapped around the outer fence to get a glimpse of that historic game.

ImageDonna was part of a reality TV show called the “Gender Bowl” in 2005 in Los Angeles which aired on the Dish Network in December of 2005.  The ladies of the D.C. Divas and Pittsburgh Passion teamed up with a few California players to take on a group of male, former high school football players looking for one more shot at a “Big Game.”  The men discovered they would be playing women after their first practice, and the 2nd battle of the sex’s game was played at the historic Los Angeles Coliseum. The ladies tied the game with a few seconds left on the clock. Watch the game and see its controversial conclusion online.

In 2007 Donna played in the WPFL in the fall with the Los Angeles Amazons.  Donna energized an Amazon defense with big hits, and was named to the WPFL All-Pro team as a Middle Linebacker. The Amazons have since moved to the IWFL and compete in the Western Conference.

Donna is appreciative of her most recent  football experience - Winning a Gold Medal at the inaugural 2010 IFAF Women's Football World Championship games in Stockholm, Sweden! Participating as a member of Team USA was awe inspiring and Donna is grateful to be a part of history in the making!
