Donna
graduated Valedictorian of her high school class at La Sierra Academy
in Southern California, where she was an All-State CIF Volleyball and
Basketball player. Donna received B.S. degrees in Business
Administration and Health Fitness Management from Columbia Union
College, where she attended on a softball pitching scholarship.
With
a foundation in health and wellness, it's no surprise that Donna
established herself as one of the most dominant players in women’s
professional football.
Known as “The Animal,” Donna has played with the D.C. Divas since their
inaugural season in 2001. Over her storied career, Donna has played
Defensive End, Fullback, Running Back, Linebacker, Tight End and Wide Receiver.
Donna
was a 2003 All-Star Running Back and a Divas Team Captain. Donna is
the 1st woman in NWFA history to rush for over 1000 yards in a season,
and led the league in rushing in 2003 with 1,267 yards in 10 games and
was the Divas offensive MVP. That year she became the 1st
female in history to win the Washington Pig Skin Club “John W. Posey”
award for professional athlete of the year, also awarded to Jeremiah
Trotter, Lavernues Coles, Todd Heap and Ed Reed, of the Redskins and
Ravens.
Donna
played in the 2004 Junkies “Turkey Bowl” where the Sports Junkies
(currently of 106.7 WJFK-FM) battled it out with the Divas in a (man vs.
woman) tackle football showdown for charity, at the Sports &
Learning Complex in Landover, Maryland. Over 8,500 people helped sell
out the game and fans wrapped around the outer fence to get a glimpse of
that historic game.
Donna
was part of a reality TV show called the “Gender Bowl” in 2005 in Los
Angeles which aired on the Dish Network in December of 2005. The
ladies of the D.C. Divas and Pittsburgh Passion teamed up with a few
California players to take on a group of male, former high school
football players looking for one more shot at a “Big Game.” The men discovered they would be playing women after their first practice, and the 2nd
battle of the sex’s game was played at the historic Los Angeles
Coliseum. The ladies tied the game with a few seconds left on the clock.
Watch the game and see its controversial conclusion online.
In
2007 Donna played in the WPFL in the fall with the Los Angeles
Amazons. Donna energized an Amazon defense with big hits, and was named
to the WPFL All-Pro team as a Middle Linebacker. The Amazons have since
moved to the IWFL and compete in the Western Conference.
Donna
is appreciative of her most recent football experience - Winning a
Gold Medal at the inaugural 2010 IFAF Women's Football World
Championship games in Stockholm, Sweden! Participating as a member of Team USA was awe
inspiring and Donna is grateful to be a part of history in the making!

 When 45 of the top
football players from all around the United States were selected to play
on the first ever women’s football National Team, none could have anticipated
the magic of what was about to unfold. The creation of a place in history and a
mark that will stand from this point forward brings us a story of love, passion
and ultimate success.
One by one we gathered in
Round Rock Texas for the beginning of training camp on a hot summer day in
June. All-Stars and various names you have heard of or played against gathering
to participate in the event of a lifetime. A few teammates and a few foes… who
knows where this all will lead.
We’ve all worked hard and
done what was necessary for us to arrive at this point together. Some of us
have played for 10 years, others just a few, but we were all selected for the
role we would play and the kind of impact our attitude would have on the team.
Indeed, we all love the game of football and raised thousands of dollars to be
here. We’ve earned it and are going to accept everything the opportunity will
allow.
Training camp was tough
and put the team and mission into focus quickly. The perfectly structured days
from breakfast to bed included: early breakfast, meetings, morning practice,
lunch, afternoon practice, dinner, film and study periods and a team favorite
“success” period in which the “onion” was unveiled. The heat during practice
was intense and forced us into frequent water and fruit breaks. The pace and
energy of the coaching staff kept things moving as with a force of nature. It
was clear by the personnel packages that the coaches spent prudent time
creating a threatening, multi-attack offense and fast swarming defense. All we
needed to do was buy into the system, accept our role then learn and execute our
responsibilities. Simple enough, yet are 45 women going to put their ego aside
and become One Team and buy into One Mission?

The
United States won the first
ever Gold Medal at the inaugural IFAF Women's World Championship with a 66-0
victory over Canada at the
Zinkensdamms IP Stadium in Stockholm,
Sweden on
Saturday, July 03. Earlier in the day, Finland
won the Bronze medal with a 26-18 win over Germany,
while on a good day for Scandinavia, host Sweden
took fifth place overall by beating Austria 20-18. Team USA head coach John Konecki said afterwards, “Canada was an
excellent team and we had to work our butt off to prepare and play against
them. I feel honored to have coached this Team USA. It is a remarkable group of
women.
Defensive
Most Valuable Player Sharon Vasquez of the Pittsburg Passion added: “It
was amazing to win gold medal. It was very emotional. We played an awesome team
and it feels great to be in this moment,” said Vasquez.
USA
now holds all IFAF tackle football world titles with the USA Football Women's
National Team joining their male counterparts, who won the senior crown in 2007
against Japan, and the juniors (aged 19 and under), who beat Canada to lift the
2009 IFAF Junior World Championship.

USA SHUTS OUT FINLAND TO REACH WOMEN'S WORLD
CHAMPIONSHIP GOLD MEDAL GAME
Click on image to watch the HIGHLIGHTS of Finland - USA
Garys Action Photography The United States will take on
Canada for the gold medal at the first ever IFAF Women's World
Championship on July 3 having breezed past Finland 72-0 at the
Zinkensdamms IP Stadium in Stockholm to top group A with a 2-0 record.
Kansas City Tribe running back Rusty Sowers claimed a second-straight MVP
award as she scored a hat trick of touchdowns among the Americans' 11 visits to
the end zone, with two scoring grabs and the first punt return for six points
in tournament history.
Nine different US players
scored touchdowns, while linebacker Elina Seppala was named the MVP for Finland. Team USA has now scored 135 points in two games and
conceded none, making them a formidable Gold Medal game opponent for Canada on
Saturday. The Canadians have scored 32 points and conceded 18 in their
two wins.
Jenny Schmidt from the KC Tribe
started at quarterback for USA
after Finland
had gone three and out on the opening possession and hit Sowers for a key third
down conversion on the Americans' opening drive.
New York Sharks receiver Adrienne
Smith, who scored the first points in IFAF Women's World Championship history on
Saturday, took a quick screen pass for a 17-yard touchdown and a 7-0 USA lead with
8:50 remaining in the first quarter.
Finland
recovered a surprise USA
onside kick attempt, but after Pittsburgh Passion's Sharon Vasquez almost
intercepted a second down pass from Finland
quarterback Jenni Wahlberg, a sack by Olivia Griswold of the Passion on fourth
down meant the US
took over on downs from their own 35.
The rushing of Sowers, Boston
Militia's Mia Brickhouse and a quarterback sneak on fourth down kept the chains
moving and on her fifth carry in a row for, Brickhouse went in for a five-yard
touchdown. The two-point conversion failed, leaving the Americans 13-0 ahead
with 3:03 to play in the first quarter.
An eight-yard Merita Bruun scamper
and pass interference call on fourth down gave Finland momentum, but penalties
and a tough USA defense forced Finland to punt as the opening quarter came to a
close.
USA came out firing in the second and after Desiree Weimann of the South
California Breakers took a screen pass for a 35-yard gain, Schmidt tossed a
16-yard touchdown pass to Sowers for a 19-point advantage after the extra
pointer sailed wide.

USA IN HISTORIC WIN OVER AUSTRIA IN FIRST EVER IFAF WOMEN'S
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS!Click Image to watch HIGHLIGHTS of USA - Austria.
The
United States and Austria made American Football history at the Zinkensdamms IP
Stadium in Stockholm when they kicked off the first-ever IFAF Women's World
Championship at 1pm local time on Sunday, June 27.
The Americans cruised to a
63-0 victory as Boston Militia running back Mia Brickhouse rushed for two
touchdowns and the US defense stifled the Austrian attack, which showed
glimmers of promise through team MVP running back Marie-Theres Michelitsch, who
rished for 71 yards.
"I'm pleased with the win of course," said Team USA head coach
John Konecki. "We tried to stay balanced with our running and
passing game and took what the defense gave us. We came out slowly, but
soon found our rhythm."
New York Sharks
wide receiver Adrienne Smith scored the first historic points in IFAF Women's
World Championship history with a 52-yard touchdown catch from
quarterback Sami Grasafe of the Chicago Force. Team USA MVP Rusty
Sowers then reeled in a five-yard touchdown pass as to establish an early
13-point lead, but Saskia Stribrny of the Raiffeisen Lady Vikings blocked the
extra point attempt.

In many parts of the
world the economy is challenged and many people are fearful about the
uncertainty of their future and the state of current affairs. You may
be one of them. For many it is difficult to find a
job, pay bills or deal with the stress of life. They feel
consumed by the worlds problems and take them on as their own. At
the same time, while some people complain and remain fearful, there are
others who see it as an opportunity to grow and extend themselves
beyond their current environment. They see it as an opportunity to grow and are confident about their future. They look to give rather than receive, and in return attract more clients, make more money and enjoy more free time.
What
is the difference? The difference is in the mindset. Remember, it
is not what happens to us that affects us - it is our response to it -
the way we perceive, interpret, feel and explain it to ourselves.
Thoughts that surface from our fears only serve to create the
experience of what we fear. When we operate from the state of FEAR we
feel vulnerable, insecure, unhappy, angry, frustrated, and
unfortunately we are much more likely to fulfill our own prophecy!
Instead of operating from fear, which only creates that which you
do not want, create a new vision for yourself and your life. Think
and talk like people who are thriving and mae affirming statements such
as:
"I know that there is opportunity awaiting me!"
"This is a perfect time to invest in myself"
"This is the time when people need my services more than ever"
"I am grateful for all that is in my life"
Remember that positive expectations followed by consistent focused action
give you a lot more chances to create the life that you want than
living in fear and negativity (even when you have good reasons for it).
The bailout starts with your mind and a mind filled with hope is open
to the possibilities around it. If you desire to create a positive home environment for your family; if you are an open minded individual; if you are looking for an opportunity to create balance and find financial security… make a decision! A way will be made from that single decision, and we can help you move forward from a committed decision.
Donna has partnered
with a 35 year old company (pictured to right) that has
demonstrated by example that one person can indeed have a vision that
changes the world. Together
we offer a unique, progressive wellness home concept that
sets a personal wellness foundation in place and provides you
with the tools, people and relationships to move forward in a
profitable business venture. We
help you create a positive focused mindset, define your goals, measure
your progress and identify key areas of focus so you can achieve your
dreams. We are expanding and offering hope to many around the world.
